Success requires you to manage your gold treasury efficiently, position your defensive units with care, and time your aggressive pushes perfectly to expand without overextending. How to Play Hexholm
Commanding your fantasy empire requires sharp spatial awareness and careful economic planning. The battlefield consists of a vibrant grid of interlocking hexagonal tiles. To begin expanding your influence, tap one of your active territories on the board. Pick a combat unit from the bottom action bar and place it directly onto an empty hex inside your current land boundaries.
To maneuver across the map, tap an existing unit to view its operational range. All highlighted hexes on the screen display completely valid moves. Tap an open tile to move your soldier forward, or select an adjacent enemy unit to launch a direct attack. Capturing neutral or hostile hexes steadily expands your total sovereign territory and raises your passive gold income.
At the start of each new turn, you will earn gold based on the exact amount of land you currently hold. Spend your wealth wisely in the shop menu to recruit stronger units. For an extra tactical advantage, you can merge matching units together on the grid to instantly upgrade them into highly powerful variants. Tap the END TURN button when you are finished executing your movements; the rival AI factions will then take their turns across the field. Completely eliminate every rival faction to win the map. If you ever make a critical mistake or walk into an ambush, simply use the UNDO button to roll back your last turn safely.
